Through this whole month we have been hit with really BIG energies, and it is not letting up anytime soon. New Moons are always times of new emotional cycles and planting seeds for whatever we want to come next. However, to move forward, one must let go of what is holding us back, and that would be our Ego. So, to plant the seeds we wish to manifest, we must clear all unneeded negative thought patterns, such as worry, anger, selfishness, jealousy, and control. Once we release these egotistical thought patterns, we can then begin to reap what we have sown, with great ease. We then can step into the New Reality we have created for ourselves.
The new moon in Aquarius will take place, midday on Friday, January 24th. Uranus will square the new moon and enhance it’s effects.
This new moon should be dramatic, in part because it’s coming on the heels of the Saturn Pluto conjunction; part of large stellium in Capricorn that was sustained for six weeks. This New Moon will encourage us to let go of unneeded attachments, and beliefs. Aquarius is cool and detached, ideal for making a clean break from things that are no longer serving us so that we can boldly step into the next phase of our lives. This new moon will be a wonderful time to expand our new ideas and creativity.

What does the stars have to tell us?
The first New Moon of 2020 is a little uncomfortable, with tension in the stars.
Looking at the early degrees of the Fixed Signs (Aquarius and Taurus), we see that Sun and Moon (conjoined at 4º21′) are squaring Uranus (at 2º43′), which is the modern ruler of this zany, progressive zodiac sign.
The ancient ruler of Aquarius is Saturn, which is now heavily intertwined with Pluto.
Venus is wrapped up in Neptune’s embrace (see 13º and 16º of Pisces), aligned with generous Jupiter. However, there’s trouble in paradise, as she’s in conflict with Mars at (14º Sagittarius).
With these abrasive signatures in the New Moon horoscope, it suggests undertones of unfinished business.
The New Moon is a time of fresh starts; there’s a keenness to look ahead, planting new seeds, ushering in fresh ideas and thoughts. Mars sextile Mercury promises motivation in our thinking.
Yet overall, we see an emphasis on the necessary continuation of purging, shedding, and processing, work to be done indicated by the stellium in earthy Capricorn.
