The 7 Hermetic Principles
1. The Principle of Mentalism:
The All is mind; The Universe is Mental.
2. The Principle of Correspondence:
As above, so below; as below, so above. As within, so without; as without, so within.
3. The Principle of Vibration:
Nothing rests; Everything moves; Everything vibrates.
4. The Principle of Polarity:
Everything has poles, Opposites are identical in nature, but different in degree; Extremes meet; All truths, are but half-truths; All paradoxes may be reconciled.
5. The Principle of Rhythm:
Everything flows, out and in; Everything has its tides; All things rise and fall; The pendulum swing manifests in everything; The measure of the swing to the right is the measure of the swing to the left; Rhythm compensates.
6. The Principle of Cause & Effect:
Every cause has its effect; Every effect has its cause; Everything happens according to law’ Chance is but a name for law not recognized’ There are many planes of causation, but nothing escapes the law.
7. The Principle of Gender:
Gender is in everything; Everything has its masculine and feminine principles; Gender manifests on all planes.
Today I wish to discuss just one of the 7 principles that has been misinterpreted for years.
The Principle of Polarity
Yes there is a difference, a Big difference, in Polarity and Duality. It is true with every aspect that Polarity exists. But.. not everything has duality. Let me explain. Polarity means The Object itself has poles or opposite characteristics. For example, Water can be Steam or Ice. This is waters Polarity. The human polarity is male and female, this reflects in young and old, new and used, positive and negative, Hot and Cold, Even Light and Dark.
Duality however is separate objects in a disagreement. When you are at dual with something you are fighting it, or judging it. The difference of the 2 is in Polarity, Hot and cold don't fight each other it just becomes warm, while you can see that duality is something that our EGO creates. When we are looking at life as everything has its opposites Polarity can Balance, where Duality can't.
There is a lot of misconception of these 2 terms, and they are always used as though they are the same thing. This confuses many into thinking that they have to balance between a fight, or argument of something. The Truth is... We create duality by our own perception of something. For example, You see the Light and the Dark, you can very easily make the choice to move from one to the other, however when in ignorance, or in the dark, we see changes as something separate from ourselves, or something different (This is the EGO Mind or the self not understanding its full connection to the All), so we fight the natural transformation into the Light. We fight against our natural growth. This is Duality. Duality does this through judgement, separating things and creating conflict.
There is Polarity of everything, But there doesn't have to be duality, or the fight and judgement. From the higher dimension it is said that we no longer are in Duality. But this does not mean we won't have Polarity. This will always be, in all dimensions.
But why is this so important? In this age many of us are looking to work with the energies of this Universe instead of against it. This is learning to live with Nature in a less dualistic form. By learning to work with the Universal Laws we Master our existence.
Throughout the 3D universe Duality does exist on a big scale, But in the higher dimensions, duality is non-existent due to the lack of the EGO. To raise to the higher dimension we learn to release this EGO that causes duality. Polarity however is existent in some form throughout all dimensions. Even in the highest levels of Consciousness, Water can still be hot, cold or warm. But within those Higher spectrum's of Light there is no Duality of EGO. We know the EGO as Judgement. Duality is your perception of something you do not like or is different from you. As we release the EGO which is our Judgement, we are able to step into the Higher spectrum's of Light. Judgement is the cause of Duality, it generates the effect back to you, of judgement and duality. keeping you in a never ending cycle of EGO.
As you raise in Light you become more aware of your connection to All That is everything, which releases the EGO of the separate self, and all judgement. Hot doesn't judge cold and Light doesn't judge Darkness, it just transforms it.
